The Domino Effect

Moruya based BK117 B-2 VH-SLA LIFE23 is currently at the Cape Banks Lifesaver Helicopter Base for maintenance, so our Sydney based BK117 B-2 VH-SLU LIFE21 headed down to Moruya to cover for it.

Meanwhile, the bonus for Sydney-siders is that we get Cairns based Bell 412EP VH-ZVP to cover for our Rescue Chopper LIFE21.

VH-ZVP is a beast of a machine in immaculate condition, and only when you get up close do you reaslise just how big it is.

ZVP was an ex Japanese Government aircraft that was imported into Australia, transported by truck from Sydney’s Port Botany Terminal to Bankstown Airport, where Hawker Pacific completed a refit. ZVP was flown to Cairns after the refit, which was completed on the 17th September 2016.
